Gun Violence Awareness Day

As some of you may know, back in May, Mayor Jackson and the Montclair Township Council issued a proclamation declaring June 2nd Gun Violence Awareness Day. Montclair joined 38 other New Jersey municipalities and more than 200 cities/towns across America in bringing attention to an issue that affects many Americans.

As part of National Gun Violence Awareness Day, the Wear Orange initiative helped to bring attention to communities about what we can do as a country to reduce gun deaths. It also brings awareness to the stories of those affected and those who have survived instances of gun violence.
